About

In Bodhgaya, India (where the Buddha attained enlightenment), with new friends from Barcelona and from Tuva (left to right), in January 2020. We were "trapped" for an hour at night in a strange place, because they'd locked the gate, not knowing we were inside. We took this selfie when we were released, to mark the genuine feeling of freedom. The metaphor of being free from samara (cyclic existence) is too obvious, right? Well, it's not needed. When you feel free, even temporarily, your face looks like this. Not like the current hit song "I can't feel my face when I'm with you." When we were freed of a caged-like existence, wow, you feel your face smiling!!!!
